Divorce between Turkey and Switzerland
Since 2018, a final Swiss divorce can be registered in Turkey through an administrative procedure at the Turkish consulate, without court proceedings.

- Boşanma kararı (divorce judgment) with kesinleşme şerhi (note of finality), custody decision, change of address; via the embassy
- Switzerland → Turkey, administrative route
- Application to the Turkish consulate or the nüfus müdürlüğü (civil registry office): final judgment, apostille, sworn translation into Turkish; in principle a joint application
- Switzerland → Turkey, court route
- Tanıma ve tenfiz davası (recognition and enforcement action) before the family court if custody, maintenance or division of assets must take effect, or if the application is refused; about 4 to 8 months
What we do
We obtain the certificate of finality and the apostille, and prepare the translation into Turkish for the consulate.
